Bible Quizzing will be starting again on Tuesday Sept. 6th. All those who are in grades 7-12 are invited to participate! We will be having an information evening on Tuesday (Sept. 6th) starting at 8 pm. Both quizzers and parents are encouraged to attend.

Ladies! Looking for a refreshing weekend? Need a time-out from regular life? Winkler Bible Camp has what you need. On September 16-17 and 23-24, WBC is putting on its annual Women’s Retreats! Come by yourself or with friends, and revitalize yourself and your relationship with God through sessions with speaker Christie Rayburn, fun activities, hot tubs, and of course, cheesecake! Interested singers are invited to join the SMCS Community Choir for the Fall Christmas Concerts including selections from Messiah. Performances will take place in Gretna and Winkler, Sat/Sun Dec 3&4, 2011. Choir rehearsals will begin Tuesday Sept. 6, 2011 at W.C. Miller, Altona, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. A $25.00 registration Fee is required for the new Season.

Special Olympics Manitoba (SOM) is looking for volunteers in Winkler! Special Olympics provides sport for Manitobans with an intellectual disability. Coaches are needed for track, snowshoe, 10-Pin and much more. The time commitment is approximately 1-2 hours/week of fun! No experience is required. Training will be provided.  Invite a friend or family member and spend time volunteering together! On Thursday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m., everyone is invited to a Southern Gospel Concert by Legacy Five at Winkler E.M.M.Church. Tickets are available from the Winkler Bible Book Shop or the E.M.M.Church.

Buhler Hall in Gretna, MB, invites you to watch the comedy/drama/musical, ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN. This onstage adaptation contains numerous, entertaining stories which are primarily about ordinary people. The author’s comic style delivers an insightful and heartfelt perspective on everyday life and the profound echoes that reverberate through it.  The shows runs at 7:30pm on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25. Opportunity

Winkler Bible Camp is looking for a weekend host family for an MCC exchange student. He will be volunteering at camp from September to July through MCC’s International Volunteer Exchange Program. This host family would be the weekend off site connection that would help give this young man more of an international experience and a consistent home church connection.
