The Boundary Trails Health Centre Palliative Care Team is looking for volunteers to be involved with various programs. Palliative Care strives to provide compassionate care to people with a life-threatening illness as well as to their family and friends.Volunteer Education Training Sessions will begin in January 2014. If you are interested contact Eunice Suderman & Jerri-Ann Froese at the Palliative Care Office at 331-8909. Deadline for registration is Nov 18, 2013.

Children’s Camps International invites you to their Annual Fundraising Banquets! Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 29, 5:30 and Monday, September 30, 6:30 at the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church, 120 Pineview Drive. On the menu is pizza and chicken! It’s time for a Laugh!! Leadership Ministries is pleased to announce the annual Comedy Night with Paul Aldrich. The 100% Family Friendly, Fund Raising comedy night will be held on October 3rd, 2013 at the P.W. Enns Centennial Concert Hall starting at 7:30 PM. All proceeds are designated for the Pembina Counselling Centre. Tickets are available at the City of Winkler Ticket Office for only $25.00 including all taxes.

Do you have an hour a week to make a difference for a child in your community? Our mission at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morden-Winkler is to provide mentors to children who need a mentor. We can think of no one better to mentor a child than people of faith. Currently, we are looking for In-School Mentors and Big Brothers. Winkler Bible Camp’s Kids Zone season has been officially kicked off! Kids Zone will now be taking place at 10:00 every Saturday morning from now until December 14th in the gymnasium at Winkler Elementary School, unless otherwise specified. Get ready for an awesome time of singing, games, prizes, and creative Bible teaching. Want to volunteer? If you’re in grade 7 and up, arrive at 9:00 and you can help out with doing actions, handing out candy, and just hanging out with the kids who come! If you’re in grade 9 and up, and you’re interested in helping out on stage, email Jordan or Sydney to ask about being part of the teaching team!

All Mothers and daughters (ages 8 and up) are invited to come to the ‘Wild West’ at Winkler Bible Camp on October 4th-6th. The weekend will include sessions with Christie and Taylor Rayburn, camp activities, our tearoom and much more!
