Do you have an hour a week to make a difference for a child in your community? Our mission at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Morden-Winkler is to provide mentors to children who need a mentor. We can think of no one better to mentor a child than people of faith. Currently, we are looking for In-School Mentors and Big Brothers. For more information call 204-325-9707 or email michael.penner@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca.

Our Fall Fundraising Banquets will be happening on October 20th and 22nd at Winkler Bible Camp. Come for a great evening of food, fellowship, and find out what has been happening here at camp this year. To make a reservation, or to host a table, please call the camp at 204-325-9519.

Winkler Bible Camp’s Kids Zone season is well under way! We’re just did our fifth week and we’ve decided to do a food drive! We’re collecting non-perishable food items for Farm Credit Canada and we’re making it a bit of a contest between the boys and the girls, with a prize for whichever side brings the most food. Those whose kids already attend Kids Zone, make sure to bring a few items with your kids. November 2nd is the last day to bring food. For those who have kids grade 1-6 who don’t attend Kids Zone, it will be taking place at 10:00 every Saturday morning until December 14th in the gymnasium at Winkler Elementary School, unless otherwise specified. Get ready for an awesome time of singing, games, prizes, and creative Bible teaching. For more information visit www.winklerbiblecamp.com or get in touch with either Jordan Phillips or Sydney Schultz via email (kidszone@winklerbiblecamp.com) or phone (204-325-9519).

Want to volunteer? If you’re in grade 7 and up, arrive at 9:00 and you can help out with doing actions, handing out candy, and just hanging out with the kids who come! If you play an instrument/sing and want to help out with music, or if you’re in grade 9 and up and you’re interested in helping with the lesson, email Jordan to ask about being part of the music and/or teaching team!

Can a person praise God by running a cash register? Can we bring glory to God by tinkering and repairing things? Can we bless our creator by pricing things or hanging clothing? We’re trying to, come and join us! The Gospel Echoes Thrift Store in Winkler is seeking volunteers. If you’re interested, call Chris at 325-0095 or email mr.chrispauls@gmail.com.
