Other Notes

When in Rome, do as the Romans… but this time it means a princess rebels against her fate, a peasant becomes a gladiator, and senators’ sons have a peculiar vision for the future of Rome.  Winkler Bible Camp presents a romantic comedy dinner theatre, ‘The Last Gladiator.’ Performance nights are March 11th- 13th and 18th- 20th. Kids Zone, a free children’s ministry of Winkler Bible Camp is starting up March 5 at the WES gym.  KZ is a high energy time of games, prizes, singing and an exciting teaching time.  It goes from 10:00-11:30 a.m. and will run every Saturday morning until May 28 for kids in grades 1-6.  There is also opportunity for grades 7 and up to volunteer to help out.  For more information contact Steve Klassen at 325-9519 or steve@winklerbiblecamp.com.

Gateway Resources Inc. – Friendship and fundraising banquet at Gateway Resources Friday, Feb.25 at 6:30 p.m.  Entertainment will be a group called “Sanctified”.  This is a time for friends and family to have a meal with the participants at Gateway.  RSVP at 325-7304.

The Pembina Hills Arts Council presents a concert of string and wind ensembles at the Morden Mennonite Church on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 7:00 p.m.  Compositions include Vivaldi’s Spring from the Four Seasons, Copland’s Hoedown, Mancini’s Theme from the Pink Panther and many more.  Performers range in age from 4 to 64 (approximately).  There will be a freewill offering.  Everyone is welcome.
